Welcome to NECPWA North

NECPWA North, is the home of the Tyneside, Durham & Cleveland Branches of the North of England Classic and Pre War Automobiles Motoring Club. (originally founded as and formerly known to everyone as the North East Club for Pre War Austins.) The North's Foremost Classic Motoring Club. The club was established in 1966 and is now the largest Historic Vehicle Club in the North of England with 830+ members (as per February 2023) and a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs.

Angel Of The NorthWhilst Main Club membership is spread over a very large area, mainly in the North of England and South of Scotland, this site is dedicated to the local branches on the North East Coast, from Cleveland in the South, to North Northumberland.

Local branches hold car rally events over the summer months and Coffee Mornings all year round as listed on the Local Branches page

Membership is open to any enthusiast of old motor vehicles and it is not necessary to be a vehicle owner to join the club.

However attendance at Club organised rallies is generally restricted to vehicles built before September 2000.

The Club's aim since 1966 is to encourage the restoration and regular use of all Historic Motor vehicles produced anywhere in the world

Tyneside Branch 'Season Tickets' are required to gain entry to ALL static display areas at Belsay Hall, Beamish Museum Rallies etc.
